The audience seemed to understand these problems and it didn't seem to affect them in any negative way, in fact after my presentation I was swarmed with people asking lots and lots of questions about developing Flash Lite content, how they can get SWF files onto their handsets or some ideas they have for creating their own Flash Lite content.
One company I spoke with, who currently does application development for all of the operators in India and have expanded to China and Latin America was interested in creating a IM client based on Flash Lite. They had a demo version they put together and for a first attempt it was pretty good.
For me it's exciting to be able to meet with people face-to-face to find out first hand what their thoughts are regarding Flash Lite, any technical questions they may have and how I and Macromedia can assist them.
Besides being at the conference for two days, the local Macromedia people took us to some excellent restaurants where we enjoyed some real ethnic punjabi cuisine. Absolutely delicious! You can take a look at some photos I took while in New Delhi.
Next stop, Bangalore.
