If you have some free time take a look at this detailed story of the evolution of the PDA written by Evan Koblentz. There's a lot of detailed information that I wasn't aware of and it's cool to see how technology has advanced throughout the years. A good follow up story to this would be something like "the predicted future of PDAs" however it probably won't be PDAs but some hybrid form of smart personal device.
