This will also be a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about Flash Lite or Flash on mobile devices in general. Similar to the November online seminar I'll be using live video to show Flash content on the handset.
There are two different times available to accomodate attendees from all around the world. So make sure you register for the event before it fills up.

I have a question! When are you actually going to get the 1.1 runtime on any meaningful number of handsets? Talking about v2 is great and all, but so far I'm not seeing any compelling reason for business to adopt FlashLite in the mobile space. Sure, it's easier to develop for - the applications look great, but next to nobody has the runtime installed.

Handsets shipping with Flash Lite 1.1 will be available in various geographic regions very soon. There are four things that need to happen for the ecosystem to realize it's full potential: 1) tools and support, 2) FL pre-installed on handsets, 3) distribution solutions, 4) consumer demand.
Part 1 is done and part 2 will be happening soon. We're working on part 3 and should have more information available in 1H06. Part 4 will happen once parts 2-3 are realized. Look at Japan's ecosystem for mobile Flash content.

I will try to get some FL stats that we can share publicly to post on my site; perhaps next week.

Bill, that would be great if you could publicly share some real world Flash Lite stats.
Regarding the 'four things'...
2) FL pre-installed on handsets - beautiful idea. If this is still selling licenses to OEMs and carriers, good luck. But yes, it does need to be pre-installed.
3) Distribution Solutions - yes, they exist, and no they're probably not going to be the carriers in the long term. The net is the net, period. Are you looking at WiFi enabled phones?
4) Consumer demand - people want to do things with their devices, now! Just because you can't figure out 2 + 3 doesn't mean demand doesn't exist today.
And being a little cheeky, 2 + 3 = 5.
5) FlashLite becomes irrelvant as OEMs, carriers and consumers move towards something open and useable today.
People are sick of paying the Microsoft tax, do you honestly think everybody is going to line up to pay the Adobe tax?

Mr. Perry,
Thank you for your time teaching us about video on mobile phones and getting me excited about next year's Flash Lite.
I use Flash Lite 1.0/1.1 in Japan as my job. It has been becoming quite repetitive (can do with my eyes shut), but it is still interesting to do Flash Lite 1.0/1.1.
It is a great time for Flash Lite 2.0 to come to Japan (maybe in the Spring 2006?). It is the largest choice for download next to "Chaku Uta".
Since Flash Lite 2.0 will come out 1/3/06(?), there are so many things that I must do to provide what macromedia can do here in Japan.
My company and I are looking forward to its release.
