After 15 hours of traveling yesterday, around 3pm local time I along with several other Adobe people arrived in Barcelona in preparation for 3GSM World Congress which starts tomorrow (13 Feb) and ends on Thursday (16 Feb). It's my first time to Barcelona and so far so good. We spent last night walking around, having food and drinks and just observing the local culture. Even at 10pm the streets were crowded and the eateries were still busy.
Today I'm getting everything ready for this week: demo's, phones, meeting notes, business cards, etc... There's no doubt in my mind that this year it's going to be awesome and for those of you who are unable to attend I plan on posting video clips each night of the cool things I saw each day. The first of these postings should be Monday evening.
If you're going to be attending 3GSM be sure to stop by the Adobe booth to check out what we and some of our partners have been working on - it's located in Hall 2.0, Stand E 47a.

Barcelona is great this time of year, kind of like New York in April.
Here's my list of Barcelona and Spain photosets, http://www.talkingtree.com/gallery/spain/ as well as those tagged on Flickr, http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevenerat/tags/Barcelona/

Hi Bill,
I am in Barcelona right now. Have you scheduled any meeting with Flash developers in there ?
Otherwise, could we see each other around the 3GSM (like a cafe or something) ?
My cell phone over there is (33) 6 61 19 55 99.
Hope to see you

Take a look at some pictures taken today at 3GSM Barcelona by the newest phones out there...

I was quite disappointed to see the Motorola is not going after the imaging phones market. For them it's all about design and some emphasis on music phones.
What are your impressions from the show?
