Adobe has just launched an interactive video piece "Engage with Flash" that highlights the proliferation of Flash on mobile phones and consumer electronic devices. It includes seven scenarios which demonstrate the many ways a user can interact with Flash enabled devices on a daily basis…using everything from a phone to a car to a TV and more.
Check it out.

Was there a problem with the movie after it launched or did the landing page prevent you from seeing it at all? I see that you were using Firefox - can you say which platform and version of Firefox you were using? Thanks!

On XP sp 2 using Firefox 1.5.0.1 I get smooth sailing. Using Mozilla 1.7.2 I don't get an opportunity to launch, though and the Flash Player exits. I'll investigate further.

My preliminary investigation makes me think that the JavaScript browser detection scheme doesn't communicate well with earlier members of the Mozilla family running the alpha release of Flash 8.5 on Windows XP. I'll forward the information onto the QA teams for more formal review. In the meantime, upgrading to a newer browser, or using a release version of the Flash Player should let you check out the Engage With
Flash piece without trouble.

Does anybody know which brand the GPS car-navi is? or just a concept model? It seems have 3d engine inside the flash player to display the map.
I had trouble watching the movie too, but after reload everything was fine. (XP sp2, Firefox 1.5, fp 8.5 )

Hi Bill,
My comment isn't in relation with this news, actually it's a question about FlashCast.
I'm working for a luxemburgish TV station (T.TV), which is also present on the mobile market. For our futur developpement we're very interested in the FlashCast solution.
I tried to get more informations about the system for a week now, but still couldn't get any !
I sent an email to flashcastinfo@adobe.com and got no answer.I tried to contact Adobe France, they told me to contact Adobe Belguim. That's what I did, but the operator I spoke to on the phone didn't even know what FlashCast was... He told me to wait for an answer from the mobile and devices team (flashcastinfo@adobe.com).
I really understand that your team at Adobe is very busy, but my boss ask me every day for anwsers, can you please help me ?
Thanks in advance! Best regards,
