Please please please, for the love of god, will you please make a (new) flash player for Palm OS?

Seriously...I understand that programing can be a tedious process, especially for a nonstandard device. I know that it can take a lot of work. But please please, Dear Adobe, consider making flash for Palm OS.

I know there are so many Palm users who want it so badly. We may have to resort to some sort of homebrew/hacked/recompiled workaround to use flash on our devices. Look...we do not want to do that, but we have so very little choice.

If this is a money issue, I know that palm users will all help contribute. If this is some sort of a technical issue then I'm sure there is a way it can be done. I have faith in Abobe, but it is being put to the test.

Hi Bill
pleasantly surprised to see the L7 on your list of phones now, does that mean FL1.1 is pre-installed on it?.. oh and available in the UK
Cheers
Alistair

1) Thanks for your feedback about a Flash Player for Palm devices. At this time we're not looking at a Flash Player for Palm OS devices.

2) Good question, will let you know.

It would be interesting to see the player on Palm. Even more for business users, it would be cool to see it on Blackberry.

Does the new Nokia E62 on Cingular have the ability to be ugraded to FL 2?

done the device update #4 and tried out K610im. But I've found that the stage set in the emulator does not fit the phone.

The real phone will have extra white spaces around the borders.

Seem like the phone will automatically resize the swf wrongly.

1) The Nokia E62 will have FL1.1 pre-installed on it. It's the same device as the E61 but without the built-in WiFi.

2) Louis - thanks for the feedback on the SE K610im. I've passed it along to our mobile authoring team.

Right, the Nokia E62 will have FL1.1 pre-installed on it, but can it be upgraded to FL2?

Bill:

Update 4 seems pretty far behind. The iriver U10 had FL1.1 a year ago and just made the list, ,and the iriver clix has FL2 and is still not on the list.

We are an educational publisher and are particularly interested about what electronic devices have or will soon come out with FL2. Is there a more up-to-date list somewhere?

Thanks

Seth

Sure would be nice to see a version of this running on Palm OS like the Treo 700p. Would love to be able to stream video.

I recently just purchased a Palm TX and I have to tell you I was rather disappointed that a Flash Player is not available for it. Palm and Flash seem like they would make a great combination. I hope that this unfortunate circumstance is rectified soon.

And still no Flash Lite 2.1 for Nokia E61...

By Anonymous Anonymous , at Wed Mar 14, 05:53:00 AM PDT

... I mean, as an update for flash 8 emulator...

For Flash Professional 8 we only include device profiles for devices that have Flash Lite pre-installed. This is to ensure that developers can create content for specific devices. By the way the Nokia E61/E62 have Flash Lite 1.1 pre-installed.

Ok, since they're not "looking at" supporting it, is there a hack that is available for Palm OS users?

I'm through waiting. Check out Kinoma 4 EX - plays Flash and other formats. I just got it (version 4.3.1 for Palm OS 5) from treonauts.com for $20 with coupon code "BESTSELLERS". It's a great standalone app, and integrates with Blazer also.
