Sony Ericsson Flash Lite Developent Center Now Live
Sony EricssonIf you're interested in creating Flash Lite content for supported Sony Ericsson handsets you can now get more information in the Sony Ericsson Flash Lite development center.

There are 18 devices today that support Flash Lite, whether it's via the browser, wallpaper or screensavers. We'll be adding some new articles and sample files soon but in the mean time you can take a look at the Sony Ericsson Flash Lite 1.1 developer guidelines and a technical article with some sample files.

Also be sure to post your questions in the Adobe Flash Lite: Sony Ericsson discussion forum.

Hi Bill,

glad to see that the SE situation is improving. I was under the impression that w200 and w830 also have Flash Lite.

Is there any chance that Adobe and Sony Ericsson might be able to work out somekind of commercial outlet for SE Flash content perhaps through Sony Ericsson's phone web site or Handago?

Only the currently listed SE handsets have been certified by us and are shipping to market as supporting FL; there are more handsets coming to market though.

We're talking to SE and other aggregators about a go to market path for FL content developers and hope to share that information in the near future.

Do you know if/when Adobe will release standalone Flash players for the various mobile handsets? I have been looking through the list of supporting SE devices and nowhere does it mention the possibility of standalone players. I have a standalone Flash player for my P800 so I know that the software exists.

Best regards,

Hi Thobias,

At this time there are no Flash Lite standalone players available for SE handsets. The only Flash Lite player support is through what SE pre-installs on their handsets.

I just wrote an article about Flash Lite development for my w900i at Flash Lite Development , which might be interesting for anyone following this thread.
