The Adobe MAX North America conference is one month away and I thought I'd ask you (the community) if you would find it beneficial to have a mobile conference guide for the MAX conference. Something that attendees could reference easily on their phone without having to flip through a printed brochure. For previous MAX conferences and other events (Flashforward, 3GSM, etc...) some Flash Lite developers created mobile conference guides and most of them were really good.
Is anyone working on one? I was thinking about creating one but wanted to see if there were other Flash Lite developers already in the process. Some of the things I'm thinking about are: distributing the app to attendees, providing updates, screen sizes and the addressable devices.
If you're attending MAX North America or Europe and are interested in a mobile version of the conference guide, what are the top 3 features you'd like to have? Leave your ideas in the comments section.

Hi Bill,
Great idea -- here are my top 3 features:
1. Daily Calendar: listing of mobile events with time slot, location (link to venue map), speaker (link to bio page) and topic (link to description).
2. Venue Map: (with hot spots where mobile presentations are being given -- perhaps color-coded for different days - this would match event listing background color too.
3. Photo Stream:on-demand Flickr photos from MAX collection. Also would be cool if MAX had 3 sub-sets -- 1 for ea. MAX conference.)
Cheers,

Was thinking about doing one but not sure if I'll have the time.
I agree with Liz, venue map and personal agenda would be great to have.

I think it would be a great idea for people attending and also for non-attendees to have demonstrate Flash Lite. Possibly then Adobe could share how they built it using CS3 during the conference, Devnet article, a Connect session or a screencast.
I agree that a venue map would be the #1 feature of this app. This is one of the most useful things during a conference.

Every year the very same request, somebody with too much time in his/her hands will eventually knock out something barely usable which will stay parked on his/her website and that's it. With all the resources that Adobe has, is it really so difficult to do a nice job, maybe paying somebody external for it or put a small prize/incentive? Why Adobe has to gain on everything on a clearly all marketing oriented event like MAX (visitors pay, presenters do not get payed and have to bear every expense and so on). Honestly not even the MS Teched gets this low. I saw the works done in past for this so called "guide" and they all sucks badly, maybe thanks to these "examples of you can do" FlashLite doesn't really get off.

yep same as last year - hey does anyone want to make a free app for our event to promote our technology? No? What you actually have lives?
Adobe could commission a great app for MAX if they wanted to. Maybe they should because there are very few good FL examples out there .....
