Flash Enabled Handsets Spreadsheet Updated
Flash enabled handsets

You can now download the latest spreadsheet (PDF) of Flash enabled handsets that are available from Nokia, Sony Ericsson and BREW (for Verizon Wireless). As of 5 November there are 60 Nokia, 36 Sony Ericsson and 13 BREW handsets that have some version of Flash Lite pre-installed. These numbers represent actual handsets that are commercially available for consumers to purchase or are already in market.

Some of you may have or continue to refer the Flash Lite supported devices page on the Adobe mobile and devices developer center. The information on that page is not current and we're in the process of updating it so it's accurate for developers. Until then please refer to this PDF for the most accurate information.

As we get more details from our OEM partners we'll be updating the PDF and making new versions available when needed.

If there's some information that's not listed in the PDF leave a comment here and I'll see what I can do about making changes.

So why isn't Adobe involved Google's Open Handset Alliance?

And when is Verizon going to launch FlashCast?

Yep, updated the spreadsheet and changed the SE 908c and 910i to FL2.0. Also included the total number of models for versions of FL for each OEM.

Nice Work! ;)
What does the greyed out area mean - for example Nokia N73 Browser (Flash Lite) is grey. Does that mean there is no support in the browser? Or does that mean the actual screensize of flash in the browser is not known?
We had a few testings for Flash in the WAP Browser an there it worked playing embedded Flash Lite...
Many thanks!

The following devices appear in Device Central but not on your PDF, does this mean FL is not pre-installed on these devices?

Nokia N70-1
SE V800
SE W300i
SE W830a
SE W830c
SE W830i
SE Z800i

Bill,

this spreadsheet is an important resource. Is there a way we can help you out and contribute to the list of FL enabled devices?

By Anonymous Paolo , at Thu Nov 22, 10:34:00 AM PST

**blocketPC - device profile update #4 was released this week. Check my blog for more information.

**andy - greyed out area means that the device does not support that content type.

**ivan - N70-1 refers to the N70 which is available in specific regions. In this case it was only available in Hong Kong and Taipei. The Sony Ericsson handsets I need to update the spreadsheet.

**paolo - thanks. yes if you have a device and can test FL content on it and let us know how it performs that would be benneficial. Also if you know of a device that is not listed then let us know.

Hi Bill, Can you update the spreadsheet till first week of January,2008? You have not included handsets of other manufacturers except Nokia and Sony Ericsson under GSM category as I see on Adobe's Device Central site. I need updated list of this spreadsheet urgently.

Yep, working on an update to post this week - will include new devices from Nokia and SEMC and some other platforms.
