What Type of Mobile Phone Do You Use?
Several times a week I'm asked this question and currently I alternate between my Nokia N95 (US 3G version), iPhone, and a Sony Ericsson W910i. Each have their strengths and depending on my mood I'll switch between them depending if I'm going out with friends or traveling. Sometimes I'll use a thin Samsung phone (more details in another post).

This brings me to another question which is what type of mobile phone do you use? Leave a comment with the following info:
  • phone model
  • what you like
  • one feature you can't live without
  • what country you live in
  • next phone you plan on purchasing and why

Labels:

1) Nokia E70
2) Keyboard, WiFi
3) KEYBOARD! THE BEST ON THE MARKET
4) Russia
5) Any new phone in the same form-factor, got used to it. Though there are none on the scene yet.

Thin Samsung is where I am. I'm using a Samsung T509 currently. The size is my favorite feature, I've yet to see any really killer feature on other phones (iPhone excluded, but I won't move to AT&T). I just use it to make calls, and very occasional text messages. Any phone I'm going to carry with me will have to be at least as small as this one. I'm in the US, and the next phone I get will probably be along the lines of the Samsung Wafer (unfortunately also the wrong network).

Nokia N70. I like app multitasking/switching. Also slide open camera cover and start taking picture immediately is very useful. Can't live without the Opera mobile browser (both Opera 8.65 and new Opera Mini 4). I live in Estonia. Next one is most likely also Nokia, something with GPS and big screen, but not N95 (something better designed:).

1. Verizon RAZR V3m.
2. It always works. Always.
3. I have too many gadgets so I LOVE that this phone is not complicated and it always calls who I need to when I need it to (this is kind of bad since I run a mobile marketing firm).
4. USA
5. Next generation of iPhone because I am REALLY hoping that it does video chat (although AT&T bandwidth probably will be an inhibitor).

By Blogger Ryan Unger , at Sat Nov 10, 11:36:00 PM PST

phone model -- BlackBerry 8100 (Perl)
what you like -- Quick access to internet, seemless integrations between email, calendar, browser, contact list.
one feature you can't live without -- Push Email.
what country you live in -- USA
next phone you plan on purchasing and why -- Haven't decided yet. This phone is only a year and a half old. Unless a Symbion phone catches my attention that hasn't had all the features removed, I'll probably be staying with BlackBerry.

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a flashlite 2.n enabled phone.
Can anyone can tell me which phone has the most memory and how much memory is that (available to the flash lite player)?

ed.

By Anonymous ed , at Wed Nov 21, 06:41:00 AM PST

**ed - I would recommend the Nokia N95. It has FL2.0 pre-installed and lots of memory. If you want you can also look at the N95 8GB version.

I have a Sony Ericsson K750i which I adore and a Nokia N95 which, despite being a gadget freak and loving all of it's clever features, I absolutely detest. The keys are too fiddly and it can't display Japanese characters!!
Could anyone tell me for sure if I purchase an unlocked Softbank phone will I be able to read and input Japanese text as well as English even though I live in England and will it accept my current sim card? Please email me at kupa2010@yahoo.com.
Thanks!!!
