Flash Lite 3 Security Issue - Resolution Soon
There have been some well discussed threads over the past couple of weeks talking about developer concerns around the security model for Flash Lite 3 applications for Nokia S60 devices. Good news is we do and are listening to the developer community and have been talking to our peers at Nokia and Forum Nokia about this issue. Soon you can expect more information about a workaround solution for better handling security through Flash Lite and the device.

If you have any other concerns please leave them here.

Thanks Bill!

This is, really, a great news. It's good to know that Adobe listen to the developer community ;)

Hi Bill,

The following link is a very good post from Kuneri Bloggy describing the issue, and perhaps one of the posts you referred to:

Bill, is Adobe recitfying the problem, or is this a work-around for Nokia devices?

As Ugur states, the huge problem we are facing here is fragmentation, which is the big killer of J2ME. I hope FL is not heading that way.

Hi Peter,

We're still working with Nokia on an answer for the community and I can't say yet what it will be. I blogged about this issue so the community knows we're listening and want to avoid fragmentation when possible.

Hello Bill,

Thanks for the this great information.

Now I'm dying to know whats comming up :)

Kindly try to find a way to make FL upgradable on S60 and WM devices, like on BREW.

Looking forward...

Hi Bill,

Really nice to see Adobe is listening developers and working hard to help them.

All the topics in the posts you talk about are important for us.
