There's a new Flash Lite 3 article "Creating a video e-card application for mobile devices" available on the Adobe mobile and devices developer center.

The article outlines the process of building a basic Flash Lite 3 application that allows users to send Flash Video (FLV) clips with custom messages to other mobile device users. The recipients will be able to view the e-card greetings using a mobile client on their handsets. Sample files and a detailed walk through of the steps to build the application are provided.

Ever since Flash Lite 2.0 was released one of the features it offered was support for playback of native device video formats such as 3GP or MP4 and now with Flash Lite 3 it also supports Flash Video.

In an effort to help create awareness of how designers and developers can incorporate video into their mobile projects we've created a new mobile video page on the Adobe mobile and devices developer center that will feature only mobile video related articles and tutorials.

Currently we have 4 articles and plans to add new ones on a regular basis. Thanks to the four authors so far for sharing their knowledge with the broader community.

We'll also be adding links and additional information about using Premiere and After Effects for compositing video assets and how to optimize them for various screen devices and network speeds.
